Application for the Gates Cambridge Scholarships at the University of Cambridge for the October 2019 entry are now open.
These are full-cost scholarships to study any subject at the postgraduate level at the University of Cambridge that are available to citizens of countries other than the United Kingdom.
The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world and the programme was set up by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000 by a donation of US$210m. Since then, we have supported more than 1,500 students from over 100 countries. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.
Scholars are selected on the following criteria:
- outstanding intellectual ability
- leadership potential
- a commitment to improving the lives of others
- a good fit between the applicant’s qualifications and aspirations and the postgraduate programme at Cambridge for which they are applying
