Application for the Financial Aid Application for Needy But Brilliant Ghanaian Students in Ghana – 2022/2023 Entry is now open at the Koforidua Technical University, KTU in Ghana.
Koforidua Technical University has over the years awarded financial aid to needy but brilliant, students. The Financial Aid Board Has awarded successful applicants who have applied for support for 2024 academic Year.
The purpose of the Financial Aid Board (FAB) is to provide grant awards to uniquely
brilliant but needy students. This grant is designed to help improve the opportunity for access, retention, and graduation, and to lessen the burden of student debt.
Koforidua Technical University was established in the year 1997. The University, which was founded with the vision of producing high-level, career-focused and skilled manpower to support the country’s industrial growth, has since 1999 turned out graduates with Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply Statistics and Computer Science. The University currently has five faculties and one Institute namely, the Faculty of Business and Management Studies, Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Built and Natural Environment, Faculty of Engineering and the Institute of Open and Distance Learning (IODL).
The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in Ghana. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.
KOFORIDUA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Scholars are selected on the following criteria:
- Must be a registered student of Koforidua Technical University as enshrined in the students’ statutes.
- Applicant must be a contributing continuing student of Koforidua Technical University, they must not owe any freshmen fees.
- The student must not have received any institutional/foundation scholarships, fee waiver or tuition exemptions.
- Applicant must demonstrate his/her financial need to the Board and must be ready to supply any document required for decision-making.
- Must be a really be a brilliant but needy student.
- A declaration by parent/guardian that he/she is unable to pay fees and must be endorsed by a Religious Leader, Lawyer, Chief, Medical Officer, Senior Public Servant Minister, Chief or any Person of good standing as may be determined by the board.
KOFORIDUA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Applicant must complete Application Form available at the office of the University Counselling Services.
- No Application will be accepted after the deadline. Only shortlisted applicants will be called for interview.
Applicants must note that:
- They must attend an interview and the panelists must be convinced that he/she really needs assistance from the Board.
- They must submit a written statement indicating why he/she needs assistance from the Board.
- The invitation to receive an application for the aid is opened every mid of every second semester of the academic year.
