UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI, UON 62ND GRADUATION LIST FOR 2019
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the above colleges who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2018/2019) and members of the public, that the 62nd Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to Central Catering Unit, Main Campus. The following is pertinent information:
CLEARANCE OF FEES AND ORDER OF NAMES:
Only those who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Wednesday, November 20, 2019 will be allowed to graduate. ALL graduands are advised to confirm the spelling and order of their names with their respective Deans/Directors before this date.
LIST OF GRADUANDS
The list will be posted as soon as it is approved. Continuously keep on confirming with your Department if you have met the Graduation Requirements.
Any potential graduand whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his/her School immediately.
GRADUATION/CONVOCATION FEE
Each graduand will be required to obtain a clearance certificate from the relevant College Registrar upon clearance with the respective Department/Faculty/Institute/School, Library, Halls of Residence, Games Department, Finance and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000/=.
HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC ATTIRE
The academic attire will be available for hire between Monday, December 9, 2019 to Thursday, December 19, 2019, from the respective College Registrars for Diploma, Bachelors, PGD and Masters graduands and from the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre for Ph.D. graduands at a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 4,000/= per set. Those intending to purchase the academic attire should contact the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus for details. The hired Academic attire must be returned to the respective offices by Friday, January 10, 2020, to avoid being surcharged.
REHEARSAL
The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony. All Graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 10.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to the Central Catering Unit, Main Campus.
INVITATION
- While hiring or purchasing the Academic Dress, each graduand will be issued with two invitation cards for two guests. Persons without invitation cards will not be allowed into the Chancellor’s Court on the Graduation Day.

PUNCTUALITY
Graduands and invited guests are advised to arrive early on the Graduation day and be seated by 7.00 a.m.
