This information involves the University of Zambia’s UNZA Distance Learning Admission and Application Form for 2023–2024.  The University of Zambia Authority (UNZA has released the process and admission portal link for the 2023–2024 academic session.

Distance Education Application Process

Use the following steps to apply:

  1. Visit the Institute of Distance Education website by typing ide.unza.zm in your web browser (Mozilla, chrome, internet explorer, etc.)
    1. Undergraduate Students: On your left-hand side, locate and click on “Online application (Undergraduate)” under the heading “Online Services.”
    2. Postgraduate Students: On your left-hand side, locate and click on “Online application (postgraduate)” under the heading “Online Services.
  2. Select the term you want to apply for (e.g. 2020, 2021, etc.)
  3. Select the program you wish to apply for (e.g. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance, Master of Business Administration, etc.)
  4. Fill in the form with the information required (e.g name, address, educational background, etc.)
    1. Note: all mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk(*) and these should all be filled in.
  5. Scan and upload soft copy documents (previous education (Grade 12, Diploma or Degree), certifications, NRC, etc.) under the section with the heading “Upload Academic Documents.”
  6. Click on the “Save and Proceed” button to submit the Application form
  7. Your application has now been submitted for approval. Take note of the application number.
  8. Print the bill-master form by clicking on “Print ZANACO Deposit Form” and make payment at your nearest ZANACO branch.

Application Payments

  • Application for Undergraduate Programs: A nonrefundable fee of K150 should be deposited in our ZANACO Account No. 0382200300177, Branch: Cairo Business Center
  • Application for Postgraduate Programs: A nonrefundable fee of K150 should be deposited in our ZANACO Account No. 0382200300379, Branch: Cairo Business Center

NOTE 1: Feedback on your application will be sent to your email. If you do not receive any feedback, contact the IDE Registry by sending an email to “registry@ide.unza.zm” or calling +260978772249.

I am qualified registered nurse with diploma in general nursing and midwifery and I’m willing to pursue my studies at your University doing distance learning of either public health or community health nursing. I am currently doing advanced post graduate diploma in public health research which I will be completed in December 2020. What are entry requirements for the above mentioned courses?

  2. I have a diploma in English with library information science under UNZA examination board. Will I be exempted? I want to study Bachelor of arts in Library information science.

  3. Hello,i was offered an aceptance but am having trouble with registrations. am i supose to wait for any email stating the stages of registration or visit your office ? Am runing out of time since the last day of registration is17 th october thats if am not mistaken. Please i need your help.
