To use the University of Fore, UFH online application feature, you must have a working internet device, a valid email address which is not shared with another University of Fore, UFH applicant, your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, and your passport number. 1. Apply Online

• Step 1: Please apply online via the University of Fore, UFH Application Portal if you are enrolling for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Study Abroad or Graduate School of Business Exchange Program.    
• Step 2: If you are a first time user, you will then be prompted to answer ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ to the required fields  
• Step 3: After you are done with the above steps, you will then be taken to the page where you will be required to fill in all the necessary information like your Personal Details, Nationality, Address Information, disability information, Study Choices, Residential Address, Postal Address, Contact Details, Demographic Details, Next of Kin, Emergency Contact, Current Activities, Employment, Education, Indemnity and Undertaking, make Payment (Check the University of Fore, UFH Application Fee and how to Pay Here) and upload the necessary Documents.    
• Step 4: Complete all the fields and click ‘Next’ at each interval to proceed. 
• Step 5: When you are done, kindly click on the ‘Submit‘ button to get your application submitted.    

2. Acknowledgement of Application    

• You will receive an email confirming online submission of your application immediately.   
• Within three working days, you should receive formal acknowledgment of your application along with your student number and log-in details.

• To check or verify your UFH Application status and log in with the student number that was allocated to you when you first applied.

5. When do applications open?

• You can start applying online from June every year. Kindly check the UFH Application deadline and dates in order not to be left out. 

6. What is the application fee?

• Online application has a handling fee of R200 for South African applicants, and R750 for International Applicants. Kindly visit the UFH Application fee page for more details. 

7. When and where can I apply for bursaries?

• Yes, we have NSFAS, Eduloan and bursaries, which you may enquire about at our Finance Department on each of our campuses.

8. How many study choices can I apply for?

• You are allowed to submit a maximum of two(2) choices for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies

9. Who can apply online?

• Everyone, our applications are fully online for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies

10. I have missing ID/Passport copy. Can I still apply?

• No, you cannot apply without submitting a copy of your ID/Passport document. If you do, your application will be deemed incomplete cannot be processed.

11. When are your Open Days for UFH?

• All UFH Open Days are currently virtual. This is to ensure that our stakeholders stay safe and healthy.

13. How do I apply for UFH residences?

• You can apply for the residences when you apply for study at UFH by completing the online application. The options for the different residences are on the online application.  

14. Can I still qualify to study at your university, if I studied at another institution?

• When you apply, you still need to add your matric certificate, with the academic record from your current institution. The Faculty will decide about admission and credits. 

15. Is there Mature exemption?

• You would have to contact Universities South Africa (USAf) to enquire about this. USAf will evaluate your matric results and advise if you qualify for mature age exemption or not.

16. How long does it take to get feedback after applying?

• We aim to reply as soon as possible, but we receive a large number of applications. This is also dependent on the submission of all relevant documentation and the time frame in which you apply. 

17. For which courses do I qualify?

• Please visit the UFH prospectus and courses as well as our UFH entry requirement regarding our courses and admission. 

18. I was unsuccessful in my UFH application. What does this mean?

You do not adhere to one or all of the following requirements: 

• Do not qualify for Bacclaureus (University admission) 
• Correct APS 
• Specific subject requirement for the degree 
• Capacity limitations: Please note that, owing to specific capacity constraints, the University reserves the right to select candidates for admission to certain fields of study. This means that prospective students who comply with the minimum requirements will not automatically be admitted to the courses in question. Because of capacity limitations and the high demand from students for admission to particular fields of study, students will be selected on the basis of their Grade 12 results for admission to these fields. 

19. Can I apply with a Birth Certificate?

• No, it must be an ID.
