Academic Scholar- Distinction Awards for International Students in USA – 2022/2023


Application for the Academic Scholar- Distinction Awards for International Students in USA – 2022/2023. Entry is now open at the University of South Carolina in USA.



This award will be given as a tuition fee reduction of an undergraduate non-resident programme undertaken at USC. All applicants that have attained the required GPA and ACT or SAT scores will be considered upon applying. A sum of $500 will additionally be provided.

The University of South Carolina is a public research university listed at 18 among the top national universities. Its primary mission is to provide education to the state’s citizens through teaching, research, creative activity, and community engagement.

The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.



Scholars are selected on the following criteria:

  • All international and national students can apply.
  • Non-residents’ undergraduate programmes offered by USC is eligible to apply for.
  • The applicants must have applied and been admitted to a non-resident UG programme at USC.
  • The applicants must have an average SAT score of 1379 (ACT score of 31) and an average weighted high school GPA of 4.17.
  • The applicants are required to have attempted ACT or SAT and must have scored a minimum of 1379 or 31, respectively.
  • The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests: TOEFL IBT – 77, TOEFL PBT – 550, IELTS – 6.5, and PTE – 53.


  • Students are required to login to the application portal of the university or the Common Application portal and complete their application. All students will be considered upon applying.

Application must include:

  • Transcripts of previously attended academic qualifications
  • Financial worthiness documents
  • Copy of Passport
  • Essay
  • Only applications that have been submitted (with the International Office and registered on the website of the scholarship) before 15th October 2022  will be considered.
