CAPITEC BANK CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS 

Applications are invited from qualified persons for the positions shown below.

1. Developer

Experience
  • 5 years’ proven experience in software development
  • Experience in the following development languages:
    • Minimum
      • SQL 2005 and higher
      • .Net (C#)
      • Implementation of MVVM or MVC design patterns
      • WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
      • WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
      • XAML
      • OO Development Methodologies
      • An understanding of SOA.
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
Knowledge

Min:
Must have detailed knowledge of:

  • IT systems development processes (SDLC)
  • Application development
  • Testing practices

Ideal:
Knowledge of:

  • UML
  • Systems analysis and design
  • Banking systems environment
Skills
  • Communications Skills
  • Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills

HOW TO APPLY FOR CAPITEC BANK JOBS

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING::

  1. A position becomes vacant at Capitec Bank:  A position becomes available, which Capitec Bank decide to fill either internally or externally.
  2. The position is advertised: The job is advertised on Capitec Bank careers portal, internal notice boards. A closing date is also indicated on the advert(s).
  3. A shortlist is created: Applicants who meet the minimum requirements are shortlisted by HR and the line manager. Depending on the number of shortlisted candidates, applicants may be required to do assessments or are invited for an interview.
  4. Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview: The line manager, team member and HR are present at the interview. Depending on the outcome of the interviews, it’s possible to select the best applicants based on their interview and CV.  If there is a “tie” between candidates, further interviews or assessments can be requested.
  5. The position is filled: The best candidate for the job is selected. We make an offer. The applicant then either accepts or declines the offer.
