Do The Right Thing Award in USA 2023


The application for the Do The Right Thing Award for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by United Yacht Sales for all International Students in USA.  

The United Yacht Sales hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Award. The United Yacht Sales has set-up a tertiary award to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to different sectors. It is intended for tertiary students at the Undergraduate or Graduate. The selected students will be given $1,500 towards the expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board, of studying an undergraduate or graduate programme in the US by the United Yacht Sales. United Yacht Sales has allocated Award specifically for the following fields below. 

The United Yacht Sales and its community believe in the potential of youth. We believe that access to education should not be dependent on wealth. Education creates opportunities for youth to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to participate in the economy, achieve upward mobility, and change the world for the better for all in it.

For the Do The Right Thing Award, we are looking for students who will be meeting the admission requirements and other eligibility requirements of the hosting universities stated below.


Eligible courses are: 

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree programme in any American university or college of choice can be applied for.

Candidate Requirements 

The eligible criteria are:

  • All domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
  • The applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship.
  • English language requirements of their host institutions must be fulfilled. IELTS and TOEFL are most commonly accepted by American universities or colleges.
  • Entry and academic requirements of the university or college applied to must be met.

  • The requirement includes:
    • The students will need a 500- 1,000-word essay answering the question – Elaborate on a time in your life where you have had to do the right thing, even when it’s been hard, and a proof of enrolment – a transcript, class schedule, or tuition bill to make this application.


  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 31st December 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
