First Robotics Awards in USA 2023


The application for the First Robotics Awards for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by Western New England University for all International Students in USA.  


The Western New England University hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Grants. The Western New England University has set-up a tertiary grant to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to different sectors. It is intended for tertiary students at the undergraduate. The selected applicants will be awarded a $3,000 scholarship towards the cost of a UG degree at WNE. Western New England University has allocated grants specifically for the following fields below.

The Western New England University and its community believe in the potential of youth. We believe that access to education should not be dependent on wealth. Education creates opportunities for youth to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to participate in the economy, achieve upward mobility, and change the world for the better for all in it.

For the First Robotics Awards, we are looking for students who will be meeting the admission requirements and other eligibility requirements of the hosting universities stated below.


Eligible courses are: 

  • Undergraduate degree programmes in any major at WNE can be undertaken.

Candidate Requirements 

You’re eligible if you:

  • Students from all overseas countries are eligible to apply.
  • The applicants must have participated in FIRST Robotics or FIRST Tech Challenge competitions as high school students.
  • The applicants must have graduated from an approved secondary school (high school) or have obtained a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) by the time of their matriculation.
  • The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL – 79 IBT
  • IELTS – 6
  • PTE Academic – 53
  • STEP Eiken – Pre-1
  • iTEP – 4
  • Duolingo – 105 DET

  • Statement including:
    • Official secondary and college transcripts
    • Affidavit of support
    • Bank letter.


  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 1st November 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
