CHUKA UNIVERSITY, CU KENYA UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Entry requirements for an Undergraduate Degree Programme

Applicants should meet either of the following or equivalent

• Have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with an average grade C+ (C plus) OR
• Two (2) Principal passes in. Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education examination or equivalent OR
• Hold a Diploma from an Institution Recognized by Chuka University Academic Board with a Credit pass or higher or an equivalent. Those with a Pass Diploma will be considered if they have at least two years relevant experience after graduation AND
• Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department and or Faculty

Entry requirements for a Diploma Programmes

• Have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with an average grade C in KCSE OR
• Hold a certificate from a recognized institution with a Credit pass or higher or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in the relevant field of specialization, acceptable to Academic Board. AND
• Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Departments and or Faculty

Entry requirements for a Certificate Programmes

•  Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with at least D+ ( with exception of certificate in Animal Health and Production- Both KCSE and Biology C- )
• Certificate from recognized institutions
• Additional entry requirements may be specified under each Certificate course

CHUKA UNIVERSITY, CU KENYA POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme

• First Degree with two teaching subjects AND
• Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department and or Faculty

Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme

• Second Class Honours Upper Division in the Bachelors Degree from a recognized University OR
• Second Class Honours Lower Division in the Bachelors Degree from a recognized University with a minimum two years work experience AND
• Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department and or Faculty

Entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy Programme

• A Masters Degree in the relevant field of Specialization
• A Research Concept Paper in the area of Specialization AND
• Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department and or Faculty
