Science Merit Awards For International Student in Canada – 2021/2022


Application for the Science Merit Awards For International Student in Canada – 2021/2022 – 2020/2021. Entry is now open at the Canadian Mennonite University in Canada.


The purpose of the funding programme is to encourage worldwide students who excel in science and who desire to enter a Bachelor of Science program at CMU in Canada. Canadian Mennonite University will offer two Science Merit Awards (maximum value $6,000; $1,500 per year up to four years) to domestic and international students.


Established in 1999, Canadian Mennonite University is an innovative university located in Canada that offers comprehensive university education within a dynamic and diverse Christian community.

The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.



Scholars are selected on the following criteria:

  • Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Bachelor of Science degree programme.
  • Must meet Country Specific Requirements.
  • Have successfully completed an internationally examined curriculum.
  • Graduate from a high school in Canada or the USA.
  • Have successfully completed a minimum of one year of full-time studies at a university of college in Canada or the USA.
  • If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency. Please see the English Language Requirements section for more details.
  • For taking admission, students must have to check the entry requirements of their chosen program.


  • To be considered for the opportunity s, applicants must take admission in an undergraduate degree programme at the Canadian Mennonite University. After being registered, candidates must complete and submit an application form with the following documents.
  • Must submit a letter of nomination from a science instructor and write a 2-3 paragraph essay (roughly 250 words) answering a question provided by CMU’s science faculty.
  • Only applications that have been submitted (with the International Office and registered on the website of the scholarship) before February 28, 2021  will be considered.
