The Office of the Academic Registrar, Bishop Stuart University, has released the first graduation list for the 19th Graduation Ceremony scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2023, at River Side Sports Grounds.
Information regarding preparations for the ceremony is detailed below:
Examination Results
Before proceeding with the graduation formalities, it’s imperative to review and verify your examination results. Ensure that your student portal reflects all your marks. Should you find any discrepancies or have questions related to your results, please reach out to your respective Faculty Administrator. The deadline for any queries or clarifications is set for the 20th of October 2023.

Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
In ensuring everything is in order for the graduation, remember to submit the following to the Academic Registrar’s Office:
- Four fully signed clearance forms by the relevant Heads.
- Your testimonial results, which should bear the signatures and stamps of both the HOD and Faculty Dean.
- A comprehensive financial statement from your first year up to your final year. This should include proof of fee payments, including the NCHE fees. You can obtain this statement from the Finance Office.
Rehearsal
Graduands who wish to participate in the graduation ceremony MUST avail themselves for the rehearsals (date is yet to be fixed). Please note that rehearsals are mandatory for participants; you should, therefore, make every effort to attend and MUST wear your academic dress.
Fees and Clearance
Every graduand is required to clear for the graduation. This involves the payment of a graduation fee. Kindly ensure that you have settled the Graduation Fees, which amounts to 126,500/= Uganda Shillings. Accompanying this should be the proof of the payment when submitting your documents.
- Graduands should pay ALL their respective graduation fees in their respective campus accounts and present a bank deposit slip to the Bursary in
- Graduands who have paid ALL their University dues including graduation fees before the deadline shall appear in the graduation booklet and attend the graduation No one will be issued academic documents before full payment of all University dues including graduation fees.
Punctuality & Invitation
The procession led by the Chairman of the University Council shall start at 09:00 AM. Once the congregation is officially constituted, all students and guests physically present may not leave the ceremony until the congregation is dissolved .
Additional Information
- All persons physically present at the ceremony must observe the Health Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and follow all rules and procedures of the organisers.
- Students who completed their studies in the previous years but were unable to graduate for different reasons shall be allowed to graduate upon satisfying the conditions herein stated.
- Gadgets like fire arms, large and heavy bags, radio communication, cameras, pipes, /cylindrical objects, packed items (foods and drinks inclusive), and or any other life endangering objects shall not be accepted in/on the graduation grounds.
