St Lawrence University, SLAU admission requirement 2024/2025 for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate courses and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the St Lawrence University, SLAU, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY, SLAU UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
The following are the requirements for admission to Degree Programmes:
Ugandan Applicants for Degree programs should hold either
- UCE & UACE Certificate with 2 Principal Passes OR
- Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning OR
- A Pass in Mature Age Examination.
Kenyan Applicants for Degree should hold either
- KCSE holders must have a minimum grade of C+ and above. OR
- KACE, ‘GCE or A-levels’ applicants must have at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent. OR
- A Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
Tanzanian Applicants for Degree should hold at least either
- TCE & TACE Certificate with at least 2 Principal Passes OR
- Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
Other International Applicants
- Prospective applicants whose final high school grades are in percentages and average points systems i.e. South Susan, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and others have their grades equated or standardized by the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) before admission to St. Lawrence University.
- The certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders have a minimum grade of C+ and above
- A Diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution of higher learning
- International applicants must have qualifications that are recognized for University entry in their respective countries.
Mature Entry Examinations
The applicant fills in the formal application form obtained from the Registrar’s office and returns it to the same office with the relevant documents attached (O-level certificate of education or the equivalent). In addition, the applicant should;
- Be at least 25 years of age, and
- Have been employed for more than two years (A letter of recommendation from the employer should be attached)
- Pass a mature entrance examination with at least 50% score mark.
- Successful candidates will be issued with a letter of admission to a degree programme.
ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY, SLAU POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
- For a candidate to be admitted into any postgraduate diploma programme, the candidate must have a degree from SLAU or any other recognized University with a minimum of pass class degree in a relevant field.
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
- To be admitted into the Master’s degree programme the applicant must possess a Bachelor degree of SLAU or of any recognized University by SLAU Senate in the relevant field.
- A professional qualification from a recognized institution may be considered for admission to a professional Master’s degree.
