Some candidates’ results may be excluded from the results published on this website for technical reasons. The Uganda National Examination Board reserves the right to change any of the information published on this website.
UNEB was established by an Act of Parliament in 1983 (Cap 137 Laws of Uganda), legalizing all actions taken with effect from July 1st, 1980, when it effectively started operating. The Board is a corporate body mandated to conduct and manage examinations in Uganda at the end of the educational cycle at primary and secondary school level and to conduct examination-related research.
HOW TO CHECK UNEB PLE RESULTS
To check the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Results in Uganda, follow the official instructions provided by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB):
Method 1: Via SMS (For Individual Candidates)
- Open your phone’s messaging app (MTN or Airtel networks only).
- Type a message in this format: PLE [Space] [Full Index Number]; Example: PLE 10123/456
- Send the message to 6600.
- Wait for an SMS reply containing your PLE results instantly.
Notes:
- Ensure your mobile number s has ufficient airtime.
- Double-check the index number format (e.g., EPLE 10123/456).
- Results are available immediately after the official release.
Method 2: School Portals (For Schools/Institutions)
- Schools can download bulk results from the UNEB examination centre portals once officially released.
- District/Municipal Inspectors may collect hard copies from UNEB offices in Ntinda starting 27th January 2025.
