Typical High School Grades = A-
- You will need very good grades in high school to get into EU. The average high school GPA of the admitted freshman class at EU Main Campus was 3.8 on the 4.0 scale indicating that primarily A- students are accepted and ultimately attend. If your high school GPA meets these requirements, there is a good chance you will be accepted.

We estimate the school accepting minimum ACT composite scores of 31 and above. Prospective students submitting an ACT composite of 32 or higher should be in the upper half of applicants – and students with a 34 and above have very competitive chances.
Transfer applicants Admission Requirements
- A minimum of 28 credit hours must have been completed or in progress before applying. The 28 hours of credit cannot include credit from AP, IB, or dual-enrollment classes.
- A transfer student is required to complete two years (four semesters) of coursework at Emory University. For that reason, a transfer student may only transfer up to 62 semester hours of college credit.
- Applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all college work attempted, and most students admitted into Emory College have a GPA of 3.5 or better.
