Yemen, officially known as the Republic of Yemen, is a country at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. LIST OF DOCUMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR A YEMEN VISA APPLICATION
Business Visa
A valid passport and business visa are required to travel to Yemen. The Embassy of Yemen has suspended the issuance of visas. Please contact the embassy directly.
1. Passport Requirements:
Copy of signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Yemen, and with at least one blank passport page available for Yemeni visa stamp(s). Plus, copies of page 2 and 3 of passport. Do not send original passports.
2. Yemen Visa Application Form:
One original Yemen visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.
3. Photo Requirements:
Two recent, 2 x 2 identical, passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.
4. Official Invitation:
An official invitation/visa approval notification issued by the Department of Immigration in Yemen and provided by host/sponsor in Yemen.
5. Business Cover Letter:
Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s employment status/position held in the company, clearly stating the purpose of visit to Yemen. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Yemen. The letter must have the company stamp or seal be affixed to the letter.
The Consulate of Yemen requires an official business letter to support your application. 6. Medical Requirements:
Health Certificate (Medical Record or doctor’s letter) confirming the absence of any contagious diseases.
7. Special Instructions:
The Government of Yemen does not allow entry or transit to any traveler with an Israeli stamp or visa in their passport. Border control may refuse entry even if the traveler holds a valid visa for Yemen.
Tourist Visa
A valid passport and tourist visa are required to visit to Yemen. Please note: entry not granted to passports showing Israeli visas or stamps. The Embassy of Yemen has suspended the issuance of visas. Please contact the embassy directly.

2. Yemen Visa Application Form:

4. Official Invitation:
An official visa approval notification issued by the Passport and Immigration Department in Yemen.
5. Proof of Travel Arrangements:
Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Yemen.
6. Medical Requirements:
Health Certificate (Medical Record or doctor’s letter) confirming the absence of any contagious diseases.
7. Other Requirements:
A letter of intent outlining the applicant’s purpose of travel, the length of intended stay, name of places to be visited, contact information, and accommodation information.
8. Special Instructions:

Visa Validity:
Visas are usually valid for three months for a single entry or 6 months for multiple entries, at the discretion of the consulate.
Student Visa
1. Passport Requirements:
Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Yemen, and with at least one blank passport page available for Yemeni visa stamp(s).
2. Yemen Visa Application Form:

A letter of acceptance from the educational institution including subject of study.
5. Proof of Travel Arrangements:
Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency, copy of airline ticket or a corporate letter stating travel plans. A signed letter on the travel agency’s letterhead confirming round-trip booking may also be submitted.
6. Medical Requirements:
Health Certificate (Medical Record or doctor’s letter) confirming the absence of any contagious diseases.

Transit Visa
Traveler must be in possession of a valid passport and onward ticket, and must remain in the airport’s transit area. If traveler intends to pass through immigration, a visa may be required. Please note: entry not granted to passports showing Israeli visas or stamps.
Other Requirements:
Valid onward destination visas (if applicable).

Missionary Visa
1. Passport Requirements:
Original passport and one photocopy of information page. The passport must be signed, valid for 6 months beyond stay in Yemen, with at least two blank passport pages available for Yemen visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Yemen visas.
2. Yemen Visa Application Form:

3. Photo Requirements:

4. Letter Of Invitation:
A letter of invitation from the host organization or sponsor in Yemen explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to Yemen. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and host’s name and contact information.
5. Medical Requirements:
Health Certificate (Medical Record or doctor’s letter) confirming the absence of any contagious diseases.
