We are pleased to announce that the application for the Entrepreneurial Graduate Internship Programme for 2023/24 – 2024/25 is now open.
Meticulously designed for 37 ambitious Agricultural graduates, our Entrepreneurial Graduate Internship Programme offers a platform for you to transform your theoretical knowledge into practical skills. Participants will be given a 24-month Internship, during which they will undergo comprehensive on-the-job development training in technical, professional, business, and life skills, arming them with the tools necessary to kick-start their own ventures.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between academia and the real world for fresh graduates in the field of Agriculture. We intend to equip them with the necessary skills and experience that will empower them to commence their entrepreneurial journey. This two-year programme promises an all-encompassing training module, covering not just technical knowledge but also the development of business acumen and life skills.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold a National Diploma (ND) in Agriculture (NQF level 6) as recognized by SAQA.
- Age should be between 18-35 years.
- Applicants should be currently unemployed graduates residing in the Eastern Cape.

Programme Duties
Interns will have an opportunity to:
- Perform farm-work duties specific to the commodity requirements to enhance productivity at the commercial farm.
- Attend training to develop management skills, business management skills, and record-keeping expertise.
- Learn business growth strategies and resource management techniques.
- Engage with strategic partners and other stakeholders like market institutions, suppliers of production inputs/infrastructure, and farmers.
- Perform overtime duties when required.
- Write monthly and quarterly reports.

Stipend: Successful interns will receive a stipend of R87 000 per annum (all inclusive).
