We are now inviting aspiring nursing graduates for a Mechanical Engineering Internship. This initiative is an expression of our dedication to building youth skills, bringing the next generation of experts into the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) industry.

This internship aims not only to expose interns to the ins and outs of the industry but also to instill a sense of health promotion among employees and contractors. Impala Platinum Engineering Graduate Internship Eligibility
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an NQF Level 6 Diploma in either General Nursing or Occupational Health.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council is preferred.
- Possess an understanding of basic nursing care, primary health care, and health screenings like spirometry and audiometry.
- Be aware of Occupational related legislation.
- Display strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Must be medically certified for BMR and/or PMR.
Note: Individuals with previous work or internship experience in their field of study will not be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to:
- Complete a structured 24-month internship program, enriching their understanding of the PGM industry and obtaining exposure to primary health care, medical surveillance, occupational diseases, and more.
- Educate employees and contractors on health and lifestyle-related topics.
- Assist in executing the medical surveillance program, which includes pre-employment, annual/routine, and exit medical examinations.
- Offer primary health care services and coordinate with an external team of professionals from multiple disciplines.
