For local residents, make sure your application clasps the Preferred Employment Opportunity Form, obtainable from KDM Human Resources. And hey, it has to be signed by a Ward Councillor!

Intern: Town Planning

  • Aye, the Knights of Town Planning. You need Grade 12, plus an NQF 5/6 in Town Planning.

Intern: Administration (4 Positions Available)

  • The Maestros of Admin! Grade 12 and an NQF 5/6 in Public Administration will pave your way.

LED Intern (Local Economic Development)

  • For the Crusaders of Economics. Grade 12 and an NQF 6 in Local Economic Development or Economic Development, Economics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Community Development or something that resonates with these.

Museum Intern

  • Ah, the Custodians of Heritage. Grade 12 and an NQF 6 in Heritage Studies, Heritage Management, Anthropology and Cultural Studies/Science, Cultural and Heritage Tourism, Historical Studies, History or any twin soul.

Sports Development Intern

  • For the Gladiators of Sports! Grade 12, an NQF 5/6 National Diploma in Sports Management/Sports Sciences, and a Code 8 Driver’s License.

How to Apply

  1. Get your hands on KwaDukuza Municipality’s Application Form from their website.
  2. Couple it with certified copies of your qualifications, identity document, and a driver’s license (if you have one).
  3. Applications should be addressed to the Municipal Manager, KwaDukuza Municipality, P.O. Box 72, KwaDukuza, 4450, and directed to the Human Resources Department. Feel free to hand-deliver it to HR Officer, 34 Chief Albert Luthuli Street, OK MALL BUILDING, KwaDukuza or post it. It’s your call!
  4. But, beware! The deadline is Wednesday, 21st June 2023 at 12h00. Not a second more.
  5. Hold your horses and DO NOT fax or email applications.
  6. Shortlisted candidates will be the Chosen Ones, and further communication will ensue only with them. If you don’t hear back within 3 months, the stars didn’t align this time.
