The application for the Mulilo Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by Mulilo for all South Africans in South Africa.
The Mulilo hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to, or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below.
The Mulilo Bursary Fund provides financial assistance to South African citizens resident in the Northern Cape and covers all disciplines and sectors of study at any tertiary institution in the country including universities, Technicons and TVET Colleges.
The Bursary includes tuition, accommodation, textbook allowance and a monthly stipend for the duration of successful studies.
Since its inception almost five years ago the programme has graduated teachers, lawyers, medical doctors, and engineers to name just a few. We are also an inclusive bursary programme, accepting applications from new as well as past matriculants. The only proviso is that bursary recipients are under age 35 when they apply.

MULILO BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside in the Northern Cape.
- Be age 35 or younger.
- Have made an application to a South African tertiary institution.
- If your family income combined is more than R180 000 per annum you will not be eligible to apply for this bursary.
- This application is only open to permanent residents of the Northern Cape and specifically the following municipalities:
- Siyathemba
- Renosterberg
- Emthanjeni
HOW TO APPLY FOR MULILO BURSARY
How to apply
- All completed applications must be submitted electronically to applications@mulilo.com by 3 October 2022.
- No late applications will be considered.
- Your bursary application will only be considered if this form is completed IN FULL and all the required documentation is attached.
- The submission of the bursary application DOES NOT guarantee a bursary.
- All shortlisted applicants will be subjected to a telephonic and a face to face interview before the final decision is made.
- Successful applicants will be notified no later than the 5th of January 2023 of their acceptance into the Bursary Program.

Please ensure that all the requested documents accompany the application. The application will not be considered if any requested documents are missing. This includes:
- Copy of your ID.
- Latest school report or matriculation certificate.
- Proof of application to a university, Technicon or TVET College.
- Motivation essay of at least one page in length.
All shortlisted applicants must be available for a telephonic interview. After the telephonic interview, applicants still under consideration will be required to participate in a face-to-face interview before the final bursaries for the 2024 academic year are awarded.
Successful applicants will be notified no later than 15 January 2022.
