The Africa Research University, ARU Admission Requirements: 2024/2025 for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the Africa Research University, ARU for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
AFRICA RESEARCH UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor of Technology
- Entry requirements: Any recognized 3-year post school diploma or Advanced diploma
Bachelor’s in Business Administration
- Entry requirements: Grade 12
Bachelor of Education [Primary]
- Admission requirements: Admission at year 1 level- Grade 12, with 5 “O” levels and two passes.
- Exemptions:• Certificate holders qualify for exemptions for subjects already completed OR Students with a Diploma will qualify for exemptions for subjects already completed.
Bachelor of Education – B Ed [Secondary]
- Admission requirements: Admission at year 1 level- Grade 12, with at least 5 “O” levels.
Exemptions:
- Direct entry to this qualification- no exemption will be offered (Entry requirements: Grade 12 with 5 ‘OLevels’)
- Students with Teaching Certificates will be exempted on an individual basis for subjects which they qualify for exemption
- Students with a Diploma will qualify for the fast-track programme at either Year 3 entry, or Year 4 entry.
AFRICA RESEARCH UNIVERSITY POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA
- Entry requirement: Bachelor’s degree
- Duration: 1 Year
- Description: A post graduate qualification, aimed at providing the student with knowledge and know-how for managerial positions as well as entry into an academic career.
MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE
- Entry requirement: Bachelor’s degree
- Duration: 2 Years
- Description: A 2-year research degree programme with a limited amount of theory. The degree is suitable to students who wish to acquire sound research skills.
MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
- Entry requirement: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
- Duration: 2 Years
- Description: The qualification provides highly professional management development at postgraduate level. It also offers an opportunity for the development of leadership qualities.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY DEGREE
- Entry requirement: A Master’s degree.
- Duration: 2+ Years
- Description: The PhD Degree program is planned by the student with the advisor to develop the student’s ability to conduct research in a specialized field of science, such as business administration, law, education and so forth.

when does the Bachelor in Business Administration course start for 2020/2021?
Want to do a Bachelors in Business Administration. I hold a Diploma in Secondary Education in Business Subjects i.e Commerce, Accounting, Marketing and Office procedures. Have a teaching experience of 30 years. Do have a chance of exceptions that I can complete in two years time.
