The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology admission portal can be useful to both the institution’s current and prospective students for the purpose of online application, checking your admission status, and printing your admission letter. The admission portal is very important because it serves as an admission management tool for prospective and current students.

Getting an application done for admission into an institution of your choice can be seen as a level of progress but trying to know if it is successful or not can be tedious. Therefore, it is not enough to apply to study at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology but keeping track of the application status.

With Technology, life has been made easier and this has brought an increase in the level of online transactions in all works of life, the educational sector inclusive. Therefore, with the existence of school portals, tracking of your KNUST 2026/2027 application and admission status can be done with only a click of a button.

As a result of this, the management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) has released a link where you can make and track your admission for the 2026/2027 academic session at anywhere and anytime. The admission portal link shows the names of successful applicants accepted and an upload of admission letters for download.

After applying to the school, it is normal to receive a response from them a few days after the close of application. This is dependent on when you applied and how you applied. On extremely busy periods, close to closing dates, it will take about 4 to 6 weeks. Oftentimes, hard copy applications take longer, as the application forms still need to be captured. Thus, online applications are quicker and have been constantly recommended for prospective KNUST students.

Important (2026): Before you can register an account or begin an application, you must first purchase an official KNUST application voucher. The voucher contains a Serial Number and a PIN which are required during registration. Keep these details safe — there is no automated system to recover a lost voucher PIN. If you lose your PIN, contact the Registrar’s Office directly at admissions@knust.edu.gh. For Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) applicants, do not use the main portal. Start your application at the dedicated IDL website: https://idl.knust.edu.gh/page/admissions-fees.

Unfortunately, each year many KNUST prospective applicants never actually log in to their applicant portal or maximize the full importance of the portal. As a result, they miss out on an opportunity to personalize the application process, ensure that all required documents for admissions and financial aid have been received, and demonstrate their engagement in the application process.
