For admission into programmes of study at the Pentecost University College, Pentvars for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

Entry requirements for a Undergraduate degree Programme
SSCE Holders
Six (6) passes including:
Core English,
Core Mathematics
and either Integrated Science
or Social Studies
and three (3) Electives in relevant subjects
Applicants should have an aggregate score of 6 – 24 in the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.
WASSSCE Holders
Six (6) Credits including:
Core English,
Core Mathematics
and either Integrated Science or Social Studies
and three (3) Electives in relevant subjects
Applicants should have an aggregate score of 6 – 36 in the WASSCE as interpreted below:

Both SSSCE and WASSSCE Holders
Candidates with a combination of the two grading systems shall be treated on a case-by-case basis.
‘A’ Level Holders
Five (5) Credit passes in GCE ‘O’ Level Examination, including:
English Language
and Mathematics
and Three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.
A pass in the General paper is required.
Mature Applicants
Must be at least 25 years old and above at the time of submitting the application
Must have at least two years of relevant work experience
must pass a written examination and an interview conducted by the College for Mature Applicants.
Other Certificate Holders
Holders of:
City and Guilds
Senior Stenography certificate
Private Secretary
and any other Certificates in related subject deemed equivalent to the above-mentioned certificates can also apply to be considered on merit
Diploma and Professional Certificate Holders
Holders of:
HND in related subjects
ABE Certificate or higher qualification with CREDIT scores in English and Mathematics
ICA part 1 or higher qualification
CIM Certificate or higher qualification
CA part 1 or higher qualification
ICSA part 1 or higher qualification
RSA part III
LCCI part III
CII
City and Guilds part III.
WAEC Commercial Diploma and any other Diploma
or Certificate in the related subject area, which the University deems equivalent to the above-mentioned certificates, can also apply.
There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE, interested applicants can use that to apply for ABE. A candidate who, however, wish to apply for a Degree programme after successfully passing ABE are expected to have 5 Credits at WASSCE; at least C6 in 3 Core subjects and C6 in 2 electives.

National Computing Centre (NCC) Education
The main requirement for applicants for NCC Education is to have a pass in Maths and English in the WASSCE exams.

Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK)
There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE interested applicants can use that to apply for the CIM UK programme. However, candidates who have a Diploma in Marketing (eg HND) or a 1st Degree in Marketing are given exemption to join the programme at a higher level.

There is no particular grade required of applicants who wish to pursue this professional programme. Regardless of the grade attained at WASSCE interested applicants can use that to apply for the CILT programme.

The main requirement for applicants for ICAG is to have a pass in Maths and English in the WASSCE exams.

PROGRAMMES
A candidate seeking admission to the various degree programmes must:
Have obtained a good first degree (at least, a Second Class Lower Division) in an appropriate field of study from a recognized academic institution.
Submit an official transcript of academic record.
Submit a certified copy of a certificate.
Submit, at least two referee’s reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer
Satisfy any additional requirements prescribed by the College. These may include relevant work experience, a written entrance examination and/or an interview.
Special Admissions
In special cases, an applicant who does not have a first degree but is otherwise adjudged suitable may be admitted into the programme. Such an applicant must:
Have special knowledge and considerable experience in his/her area of interest.
Have, at least, GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSCE passes in English Language and Mathematics.
Have a Diploma in the relevant field of study
Be, at least, 35 years of age.
A candidate who possesses a first degree with a Third Class or Pass may be considered for admission into the programme. Such an applicant will be required to:

A candidate seeking admission to MSc International Accounting & Finance degree programme must:

General Entry Requirements for SSSCE/WASSSCE Applicants
To be admitted to any Degree programme, Senior High School graduates must possess at least credits (A1 – C6 in WASSSCE and A – D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics and Agricultural Science/Biology in addition to the specified requirements for various programmes.
General Entry Requirements for all other Applicants
IGCSE/IB – To be admitted to any Degree programme, IGCSE/IB graduates must possess at least Grades A*/A – C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL)/’O’ Level in addition to three Higher Level (HL-A to C)/’A’ Level (A to D)/IB 2 (A – C) grades in the specified requirements for various programmes.
