Notice from the International Programmes Office – 2022/2023 Student Exchange Programme Opportunities. Please find below Study Abroad Opportunities from the International Programmes Office for the 2nd semester of the 2024 Academic Year as follows:

UG STUDENT EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY

  1. Be a Ghanaian citizen (indigenes from the Western Region are particularly encouraged to apply).
  2. Be able to demonstrate financial need.
  3. Be of good conduct (i.e. not have any past or pending disciplinary action taken against them).
  4. Awardees should be in good academic standing

UG STUDENT EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. 2022/2023 Student Exchange Programme at University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. 

The International Programmes Office invites outstanding students from the under-listed study areas to participate in an exchange programme at University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic for the 2nd semester of
2022/2023: a. History, b. Archaeology, c. Philosophy, c. Sociology, e. Political Science and, f. Social work.
University of Hradec Kralove will provide selected students stipends to cover their return flight tickets, boarding/lodging and other allowable expenses. However, the students will be responsible for processing their
visas and for the cost of out-of-pocket expenses for incidentals.

Interested students should submit the following application documents (in PDF) to Ms. Victoria Baku at: sacip@staff.ug.edu.gh and copy Mr. Daniel Hormeku at: arip@ug.edu.gh:

a letter of motivation for wanting to study at the University of Hradec Kralove and in the Czech Republic;

  • current CV;
  • original transcript(s);
  • one passport size photo;
  • details page of passport;
  • a letter of recommendation from your head of department.
  • The submission deadline is September 15, 2020.
2.  2020/21 Student Exchange at Koc University, Turkey. 

The International Programmes Office has placements for two outstanding students from the under-listed study areas to participate in a student exchange programme at Koc University for the 2nd semester of 2022/2023:

  •  Computer Engineering,
  • Mathematics,
  • Business Administration,
  • Economics,
  • Psychology,
  • Philosophy,
  • History.

Under this agreement, the selected students will receive stipends for the semester (three months) to cover boarding/lodging and return flight tickets. However, they will be responsible for processing their visas and must also make provision for out-of-pocket expenses for incidentals. The nominees are expected to pre-finance their accommodation and return flight tickets.

the courses they will take at their departments, University of Ghana during the 2nd semester of 2020/21 are offered at Koc University. And then discuss the courses with their heads of departments (HoDs) to assist them select the appropriate and equivalent courses.

3. Short Fellowship at Koc University, Turkey 

International Programmes Office is inviting applications from faculty members for a short-term teaching visit at Koc University.

Interested faculty should identify a faculty member in their specific academic field at Koc University to discuss the application procedure and abstracts of the papers to be delivered at Koc University. Additional
information on the mobility programme can be found at: https://acro.ceu.edu/erasmus-international-credit-mobility-icm-grants

Koc University will cover the selected visiting fellow’s return flight ticket, boarding/lodging and internal transportation during the 5-day stay in Turkey. However, they will be responsible for processing their visa,
health insurance, and also pre-finance their accommodation and return flight ticket. Seventy percent (70%) of the cost will be refunded on arrival while the remaining 30% will be paid on the last day of the programme.

  • abstracts of the papers to be delivered at Koc University;
  • a Letter of Motivation;
  • current CV.
