Entrepreneurship has taken a new shape. People are quitting white-collar jobs to set up businesses while those already in business are working hard for expansion. When it comes to business, Africans seem to be at the forefront. There are many business opportunities in Africa which have constantly been attracting foreign investors, thereby making Africa a business hub.

With the daily competition in the business world, people no longer rely on little business knowledge they have and in order to nurture and gain more professional knowledge in business, thousands of business schools have evolved in various parts of the world, leaving entrepreneurs with numerous options to go for.

A business school is a university-level institution that confers degrees in business administration or management. According to Kaplan, business schools are “educational institutions that teach courses and programs related to business and management. It can also be known as a school of management, school of business administration, etc.

1. UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Apart from the University of Nairobi being the best in Kenya, the institution is also home to the best business school in the country. Ranked 4th in Africa. It was established in 1964, the school offers Bachelor of Commerce degree, MBA degree, PhD in Business Administration programs. Its major departments are finance and accounting, Business Administration and Management Science. One interesting thing about UON is that you can apply and study online. Application is always open in April of every year.

The application form is usually accompanied by a nonrefundable processing fee.

2. UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

This is the 5th best business university in Africa. Being the oldest private university in East Africa, it provides abroad based education. USIU School of Business has a range of undergraduate programs, graduate programs, CEED certificate programs, and Goldman Sachs Program.

Undergraduate programs offered include: Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration; Bachelor of Science in Information Systems &Technology; Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management; Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
