General Admission Requirements
Gaining admission into an Undergraduate Programme in PUMS is basically under 2 entry method which includes the UTME entry and the Direct Entry.
PUMS admission requirements through UTME
To gain admission into the PAMO University of Medical Sciences, in 2024, UTME candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have reached the age of 16.
- All admissions into the University will be through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB);
- For admission to 100 level (via UTME), candidates must obtain five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings including credit passes in English and mathematics; and must have scored 170 or above in the 2024 UTME in relevant subjects. For MBBS, the score must be 220 and above
- For admission by direct entry (200 level), candidates will, in addition to having five (5) O’Level credits, possess at least to (2) A’ Level or its equivalent for programmes other than MBBS where applicants must possess at least three (3) A’Level or its equivalent passes in relevant subjects, or possess a good first degree in a related field not below Second Class Lower;
- Those who meet the requirements for admission will be subjected to screening interview to be conducted by the University;
- The university will not accept transfer students until after at least the first two years of its existence.
- Finally, candidates must meet the stipulated cutoff marks for their courses to gain admission into the university.
- For INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS:- Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to JAMB approved provisions for admission into Nigerian universities
