UDUSOK Postgraduate Application Forms – 2023/2024 Admission

It is announced for the information of prospective applicants and the general public that the School of Graduate Studies, UDUSOK, is offering the graduate programmes for the 2023 academic year commencing February 2024, leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate Degrees.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.

UDUSOK POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION PROCEDURE & ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

Entry Requirements: 

All Candidates for admission into Ph.D, M.Phil/Ph.D, M. A., M.Ed., M.Sc. and LLM Programmes must provide records of their Academic Transcripts.

  1. Candidate for admission into Ph.D/ M.Phil programmes shall have M. A., M.Ed., M.Sc and LLM Degrees in the relevant areas with CGPA of not less than 4.0 on a scale of 5.0 from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto or any other recognized University.
  2. Candidates for admission into M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc. and LL.M programmes shall have: a minimum of a Good Second Class Lower Degree in the relevant areas from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto or any recognized University.
  3. Candidates for admission into Postgraduate Diploma Programmes should possess the following:
    1. Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit pass in relevant area
    2. Third Class Degree in relevant areas.
    3. Candidates who hold qualifications other than the above which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
    4. In addition to (i) to (iii) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s Matriculation requirements
  4. Candidates for admission into Masters in Public Health must:
    1. Have MBBS Degree of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, or an equivalent Medical Degree from a recognized University
  5. Candidates for admission into College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, Science and Veterinary Medicine, must have ‘O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  6. Candidate for admission into Faculty of Education and Extension Services should possess the following:
    1. Education Science: English, Mathematics and other relevant science subjects.
    2. Education Arts: English, Mathematics and credits in relevant subject.
    3. Education Social Science: English, Mathematics and credit in relevant subjects.
    4. Adult/Primary Education: English, Mathematics credits in Arts, Science or Social Science subjects.
  7. Candidates for admission into Faculty of Management Sciences should meet the following requirements:
    1. Accounting and Business Admin: English, Mathematics, and Economics and other relevant subjects.
    2. Public Admin: English, Mathematics, Government/Civic Education / History and other relevant subjects.
  8. Candidate for admission into Faculty of Agriculture must have O’ Level Credits in English, Mathematics, Agriculture/ Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  9. Candidates for admission into Faculty of Social Sciences should be as follows:
    1. Political Science and Sociology: English, Mathematics, Government/Civic Education/ History with other Arts or Social Science subjects
    2. Economics: English, Mathematics, Economics with other social sciences or Arts subjects.
    3. Geography: English, Mathematics, Geography with other social sciences or Arts subjects.
  10. Candidates for admission into Faculty of Law must have O’ Level Credits in English, Islamic studies with other relevant subjects.
  11. Candidates for admission into Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies should meet the following requirements:
    1. English Language and Literature in English: English, Literature in English and other Arts or Social Science subjects.
    2. Linguistics: English and any other language with any 3 subjects.
    3. French: English, French and one other Arts subject.
    4. History:English, History or Civic Education and any Arts subjects.
    5. Hausa: English, Hausa and any 3 Arts subjects.
    6. Islamic Studies:English, Islamic Studies and any 3 from Arts or Science subject.
    7. Arabic:English, Arabic and any Arts subjects.
  12. Candidates applying for admission into Computer Science, Physics and Statistics should have the following requirements:
    1. Computer Science and Physics: English, Mathematics, Physics and any other science subjects.
    2. Statistics: English, Mathematics and at least 3 subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Economics.

Application Procedure

STEP 1: CREATE A USER ACCOUNT

On the home page (http://pg.udusok.edu.ng), locate the MENU panel and click on ‘CREATE ACCOUNT

STEP 2: FILL THE DISPLAYED FORM

  • Fill all the fields in the displayed form. DO NOT leave any field blank.
  • Choose your preferred programme as well. This is done by first selecting the preferred faculty, on select, the departments will be automatically populated in the corrensponding field; on select of the department, the available progammes will be displayed. Kindly choose as appropriate.
  • Note however, your chosen programme may still be changed, but that will be later – when you have been issued your ‘APPLICATION NO’. You will be able to change your programme on successful login to your account. Also, you WILL NOT be able to use the email address you entered again for the same purpose this session.
  • Click the ‘OK-CREATE ACCOUNT’ button to submit your enteries.

STEP 3: PROCESS YOUR PAYMENT INVOICE

On-submit from the create account page, the summary of your entries will be displayed. Here, note your ‘INVOICE NO’ as you will be needing it for the verification of your payment at a later time.
Click on the ‘PROCESS PAYMENT’ link to process your REMITA invoice. This will be done by an auto-redirect to the REMITA platform. At this point, you may choose to make your payment online or proceed to the bank to make your payment.

STEP 4: VERIFY PAYMENT

After payment has been made, either at the bank on online, you will need to verify the payment on the UDUS pg portal. On successful confirmation that the payment has been made, you will be able to print your payment receipt. On this payment receipt, you will see your ‘APPLICATION NO’. An email and most often, SMS will also be sent to you, confirming the recipt of the payment and the issuance of your ‘APPLICATION NO’.

STEP 5: LOGIN WITH YOUR APPLICATION NO.

On receipt of your ‘APPLICATION NO’, login with the ‘APP. NO.’ and the password you created during the account creation process. On verification of your credentials, you will be granted access to your online forms. Fill all necessary information as required.
Each page will direct you on what to do. Kindly follow the instriction(s) strictly.

STEP 6: SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

The last page on your application form is the ‘DECLARATION PAGE’, make sure to declare by checking the checkbox provided. It is important to check this box because by doing so, you have declared that all the information provided are yours and, to the best of your knowledge, correct. Any false information will mean misrepresentation and as such might inhibit your chances of getting admitted or may lead to withdrawal even after the admission has been offered.

On submission of these enteries, the system will check for completeness and accuracy and then acknowledge the reciept of your application. Any incomplete entry error will be flagged and you will be required to correct before you proceed. All other necessary directives will be given on submission and you will recieve an email acknowledging the completion of your application form.

Note that; after this final submission, your enteries WILL NOT be available for you to edit anymore. Although, occassionaly, based on genuine reasons, we may re-open an applicant’s form for editing. In this case, after editing, applicants’ are still required to declare and submit their forms finally again.

Make sure to print a copy of your information page and keep for record purposes.

Afterward, your subsequent logons will only allow you to access your status page, here, updates on your application submission will be given.
