We are pleased to present to you https://spgs.unilag.edu.ng as the University of Lagos (UNILAG) postgraduate admission portal, which can be used for postgraduate online application and checking of your admission status. It also contains the steps on how to login to your UNILAG postgraduate  admission dashboard.

The University of Lagos postgraduate admissions portal can be useful to both the institution’s current and prospective postgraduate students for the purpose of online application, checking your admission status and printing admission letter. The postgraduate admissions portal is very important because it serves as an admission management tool for prospective and current postgraduate students.

As a result of this, the management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Postgraduate School has released a link where you can make and track your admission for the 2022/2023 academic session at anywhere and anytime. The postgraduate admission portal link shows the names of successful applicants accepted and an upload of admission letters for download.

After applying to the UNILAG Postgraduate school, it is normal to receive a response from them a few days after the close of applications. This is dependent on when you applied and how you applied. On extremely busy periods, close to closing dates, it will take about 4 to 6 weeks. Oftentimes, hard copy applications take longer, as the postgraduate application forms still need to be captured. Thus, online applications are quicker and have been constantly recommended for prospective UNILAG postgraduate students.

HOW TO ACCESS/LOGIN TO THE UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION PORTAL

1. Open your internet browser, e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
2.  Kindly visit the University of Lagos postgraduate admission portal link as shown below.
3. Click on ‘Student Login’ link at http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng
4. Login with your Application No as Matric No and your Surname (in lowercase) as your password. You will be required to change your password after login.
5. Update your Biodata as appropriate
6. From the dashboard, click on ‘Upload Documents’ and upload the following Original documents in colour:

• • Degree Certificate
  • All Academic Transcripts must reach the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the beginning of registration/screening exercise.

1. • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate
   • Other Relevant Degree Certificate (If applicable)
   • Professional Certificate (If Applicable)
   • Call to Bar Certificate (LLM Candidates Only)
   • O’Level Result Certificate
   • Birth Certificate
   • Evidence of change of name for female only (marriage certificate/newspaper advert)
2. From the dashboard, click on ‘Appointment’ to schedule a date for screening.
3. Proceed to the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, physically on the scheduled date and time for screening (This stage is not allowed by proxy; Candidates must obey Covid-19 Protocols; List of Documents required).
4. At the screening venue, pick a Prospectus for a non-refundable fee of N10,000.
5. Upon successful completion of the screening, commence Registration by generating bill online (on REMITA) and proceed to make payment either online or at any commercial bank in Nigeria. (Note that Obligatory and Tuition Fees are required before online Registration; Payment of Tuition Fee on Installment is allowable for Part-Time Candidates only
6. Complete course registration form Online.
7. Print two (2) copies each of Course Form, Acceptance Form, Biodata, Admission Letter, Payment Advice and Receipts.
8. Sign Course Forms with Head of Department and University Bursar in that order.
9. Graduates of Universities Outside Nigeria must provide the following in addition to the above (Admission Letter of First Degree, Transcript, Certificate & Travelling Documents during the period of study).

NOTE:

• University of Lagos has zero tolerance for drug abuse, social vices and illegal activities. Any student found wanting shall loose his/her studentship.
• The University mandates everyone on Campus to observe Covid-19 Protocols.
