The International Business, Sci & Tech University, ISBAT 2024/2025 admission requirement for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate courses and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the International Business, Science and Technology University, ISBAT, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, ISBAT UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
The following are the requirements for admission to Degree Programmes:
Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management (BTHM)
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor//’s degree program are :
(a)For direct entry –
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
(b) For mature age entry –
- 22 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Bachelor of Science In Networking and Cyber Security-BSc.NCS
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor//’s degree program are :
(a)For direct entry –
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
(b) For mature age entry –
- 22 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics (BSc. AE)
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor’s degree program are :
(a)For direct entry –
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the Principal Pass.
(b) For mature age entry –
- 25 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM)
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor//’s degree program are :
(a)For direct entry –
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the Principal Pass.
(b) For mature age entry –
- 25 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor//’s degree program are :
(a)For direct entry –
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
(b) For mature age entry –
- 22 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (BScAA)
For Direct Entry:
(i) Uganda certificate (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education(UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent
For Lateral Entry to Semester 2
(i) All the above (i) and (ii) criteria
(ii) Successful completion of ACCA F1, F2 & F3
(iii) 2 years of work experience as an Accountant in any organization
Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems(BComIS)
- Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
- Completion of A’ level (UACEGCE/IB) with 2 Principal Subjects Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes at the same sitting
- Equivalent Secondary Education equated to Uganda Advanced level (A’ Level / UACE) is a must for all foreign Students
- Students who complete their O’ level – and a two-year Certificate in Business administration/business studies / Accounting from an accredited University / Tertiary institution are eligible for admissions
Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA)
- Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
- Completion of A’ level (UACE/GCE/IB) with 2 Principal Subjects Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes in the same sitting
- Equivalent Secondary Education equated to Uganda Advanced level (A’ Level / UACE) is a must for all foreign students.
- Students who completed their O’ level -and a two-year Certificate in Business administration/business studies / Accounting from an accredited University / Tertiary institution are eligible for admissions
Bachelor of Science in Multimedia and Animations(BScMMA)
- Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
- Completion of A’ level (UACE/GCE/IB) with 2 Principal Subjects Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes at the same sitting
- Equivalent Secondary Education equated to Uganda Advanced level (A’ Level / UACE) is a must for all foreign students.
- Students who completed their O’ level – and a two-year Certificate in any of the ICT discipline from an accredited University / Tertiary institution are eligible for admissions
Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology(BScAIT)
- Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
- Completion of A’ level (UACE/GCE/IB) with 2 Principal Subject Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes at the same sitting
- Equivalent Secondary Education equated to Uganda Advanced level (A’ Level / UACE) is a must for all foreign Students
- Students who completed their O’ level – and two-year Certificate in Information Technology / Networking / PC Maintenance etc., from an accredited University / Tertiary institution, are eligible for admissions
The following are the requirements for admission to Diploma programmes:
Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)
- Completion of O’ level (UCE) with 5 passes at Credit level OR its equivalent
- Completion of A’ level (UACE) with at least 1 Principal Subjects Passes and 2 Subsidiary Passes in the same sitting
- Students who completed their O’ level -and a two-year Certificate in Business administration
Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 Principal pass and 2 Subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent
- At least Second Class, Credit or equivalent performance from recognized Institutions
Diploma in Hardware and Networking (DHN)
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 Principal pass and 2 Subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, ISBAT POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Duration of Programme: 1 Academic Year
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
i) A first degree with at least a second class (where such classes are indicated) or its equivalent from a recognized University or higher institution of learning.
Or
ii) Graduates with a pass degree and a postgraduate diploma in a relevant field may also be considered.
Or
iii) Individuals who have considerable years of experience in intended areas of study but who lack first-degree qualification.
