Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.

For admission into programmes of study at the Law Development Centre, LDC, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

LAW DEVELOPMENT CENTRE POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

To be eligible for admission to the Bar Course, the applicant should be:

  • A holder of a degree in law granted by a University in Uganda whose law programme has been accredited by the Law Council.
    • This applies to Ugandan and non-Ugandan citizens.
    • The degree must have been obtained from a university or institution of higher education duly licensed or chartered under the laws of Uganda and accredited by the Law Council.
  • A citizen of Uganda who is a holder of a degree in law obtained from a University or institution in a foreign country operating the common law system and recognized by the Law Council of Uganda. The applicant must obtain prior clearance in writing from the Law Council.
  • A former Bar Course student intending to repeat the entire Bar Course or subject(s) as provided for by the applicable Rules for Passing the Bar Course.
  • Applicants for admission to the Diploma in Law and Administrative Officers’ Law courses should have a minimum of UCE with 5 passes obtained at the same sitting plus UACE with at least a principal pass and two subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting.
  • Applicants for Certificate Courses should have a minimum of O’ level (UCE) with (3) credits obtained at the same sitting plus UACE certificate

  1. When applying for diploma in law, we are being asked to provide qualifications besides the UCE and UACE. Is it a mandatory requirement because one cant submit their online form without that. That is for 2020/21 applications

  2. I am also failing to submit my online application form because of the form which is not user friendly, it tells you to fill all fields even if all information needed is provided and there is a blank filed; even that is not marked with asterisk and even the systems administrator doesn’t respond when you write. I have also written to AR submitting soft copies but no response.

  3. Am interested in apply for the bailiffs and clerk course which is scheduled for 12. March to 14 April. But have failed to get the admission forms.

  4. if I’m straight from high school can i study any short course in , apparently I’m a second year legal student at CUU

  5. Details me requirements for Diploma in law course then 2.5m is it for full year course tuition or per terms ,ofcoz I mean course units for law.
