This article contains information on the Muni University, Muni Application form and requirements for admission into Undergraduate Degree, Diploma Programmes for the 2022/2023 academic year.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS and SPECIAL CASES.
MUNI UNIVERSITY, MUNI ADMISSION APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- Applications are done online, scanned documents in a PDF format attached on line, payment for the application form also paid online.
- Applicants should access the application form on the university’s application – admission portal: admissions.muni.ac.ug (AIMS).
- Login (Register) by filling in either your email or mobile number, click Sign up or Register button and follow the prompts. Please note that you MUST have access to that email or mobile number before you can register.
- After successful Registration, you will be redirected back to Login page and your One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to both your E-mail address and Phone Number.
- Login either using your E-mail address or your telephone number and your password. The system will prompt you to change the password to the one you can easily remember. Check your email and SMS for your login password.
- Click the “Apply Now” button displayed the appropriate scheme to fill and submit the form on line.
- Applicants for the Certificate/Diploma, Mature Age and Graduate Schemes must attach copies of certified academic documents and or academic documents and / or academic documents equated by Uganda National Examinations Board /OR National Council for Higher Education named in the format Surname _Academic Documents (e.g. Bahati_Academics Documents), through the application(admission) portal, while filling and submitting the form. Each document must be a single Portable Document Format (PDF) file not exceeding 1MB. In addition, Mature Age applicants MUST attach copies of Birth Certificate and /or National Identity Card.
- Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on “GENERATE PAYMENT REFERENCE NUMBER” button and follow the prompts.
- Use a reference number to pay a non – refundable application fee of UGX.50,000 for East Africans or UGX.183,000 for International applicants in any branch of all Banks that are integrated with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) or pay through Mobile Money, dial *165# for MTN or *185# for Airtel, enter 4 (for payments), send: enter 5 (for fees and Taxes), and: enter 1 (for URA), send: enter 1 (for with PRN Payments), send: enter PRN number and follow prompts.
- NB: Application fee of UGX. 50,000 and UGX.183,000 for East Africans and International applicants respectively excludes bank charges.
Muni University, Muni offers undergraduate courses at Diploma levels besides those offered at undergraduate levels. Prospective students should apply by filling the application forms before the deadline date as it is communicated by the Admissions office. Late applications are only accepted if the program space allows. These should be received not later than two weeks after the start of the appropriate semester; OR not later than a week after the beginning of a session. The admission procedure includes the Master’s Program applicants.
Once you submit your form, you must pay the application fee for your form to be processed. Otherwise, it will not be processed.

A) Things you need
- An email address and contact number

B) How to Do it
Step 1: Accessing the Application Portal Link
- Access The online application link as listed in the advert. Ensure that the page is secure before you continue. NOTE: There might be other websites masquerading as the application portal. Only access the link advertised by the university
Step 2: Signup
- Signup by clicking the orange signup button at the bottom of the page. If you cannot see the button, your browser could be having a zoom in setting. Zoom out holding down the “CTRL” button and pressing “+” button on PC and “CMD” and “+” on Mac
- A password (six-digit number) will be sent to Your mobile number and your email address.
NOTE: Sometimes depending your Mobile Telecom service provider, the message may delay or not be delivered. In this case, don’t panic, simply check your email. The same information is sent to your email as well. - Login using this password and your email address or your mobile number by selecting the “login with Tel No” option
- After Logging in, you will be prompted to change the password to the one you can remember. Password should have at least a length of six Characters
- The system will take you back to the login prompt to now login with your new password
Step 3 Filling a Form
- After Logging in, click on the “APPLY NOW” Button to view the advertised Schemes
- Read the instructions carefully of each of the scheme you want to apply for
- Fill in the application form accordingly. To submit there is minimum information that must be captured. If you don’t have this information ready, simply save the form and return later to complete it when you have all the information required to submit the
application form - Once the form is completely filled and submitted the following actions can be done
