This article contains information on the Majuba TVET College Application Form and requirements for admission into certificate and Diploma programmes for the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.

Standard Application Path (New Student)
Step 1: Apply Online
- Submit your application through the college’s online portal.
- Upload certified copies of all required documents.
Step 2: Student Screening
The college will:
- Process your online application.
- Generate and file your APS score.
- Check if you meet the Campus Admission Requirements for your chosen programme.
- Review your uploaded documents and request any outstanding documents if needed.
If you do NOT meet the admission requirements, you may be referred to alternative programmes (see Alternative Path below).
Step 3: ERC and Document Check
- The college will issue you an ERC (Enrolment Registration Certificate).
- Your supporting documents will be validated.
Step 4: Career Guidance & Placement Test
- You will undergo career guidance and complete a Student Profiler / Placement Test to ensure you are on the right career path.
Step 5: Registration Offer
- If there is available enrolment space and you meet the requirements, the college will issue you a Registration Offer (valid for 48 hours).
- If your chosen career path differs from your Placement Test results, you may be referred for additional career advice.
- You must accept the offer via the Student Portal. The college checks the Communication Log to confirm acceptance.
- If you decline the offer, the process ends.
Step 6: Data Capture
Once you accept the offer, the college captures your enrolment data in the system.
Step 7: Finalise Enrolment
You must complete the following in person:
- Sign the Coltech-Generated Enrolment Form.
- Sign the Proof of Registration (PoR) — two copies required.
- Sign Memo 46.
- Sign for receipt of the Student Code of Conduct.
- Receive confirmation of the commencement date for teaching and learning.
Alternative Path: If You Don’t Meet Standard Admission Requirements
Option A: Referral to Alternative Programmes
If you don’t meet the standard campus admission requirements, the college will assess if you can be enrolled in:
- Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP) at Newtech, or
- An Occupational Programme at QPU.
If neither is possible, the process ends.
Option B: Source of Funding
- Cash-paying students: Pay tuition fees; your ERC is filed per programme and level.
- NSFAS applicants: The college checks your NSFAS application and collects supporting documents.
Option C: Academic Support
- A list is compiled of students requiring academic support.
Option D: Verification & Additional Screening
- The Programme Manager verifies your proposed subjects.
- If your career choice contradicts your Placement Test results, additional screening is conducted.
