Therefore, the NSFAS has opened the application portal for all higher institutions, accommodation owners, developers, investors and every other interested party that are interested in the grants and meets the requirements. NSFAS ACCOMMODATION OFF-TAKE AGREEMENT ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITIONS
Eligibility
- The NSFAS Accommodation Off-take Agreement Grants are only & strictly open to new, underdeveloped and yet-to-be-developed accommodation facilities.
- Over 80% of the proposed beds should be catering to NSFAS beneficiaries
- The proposed cost per bed should not exceed R45 000 per annum
- An undertaking that the envisaged accommodation will meet the minimum norms and standards.
Conditions
The granting of the off-take agreements will be subject to:
- National Treasury.
- Sound business case.
- Meeting the minimum required points.
- Demand for accommodation in the proposed area.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE NSFAS ACCOMMODATION OFF-TAKE AGREEMENT GRANT
The application for the NSFAS Accommodation Off-take Agreement Grants is online. You need to have an internet enabled working device to make this possible. Kindly follow the easy steps below:
- Kindly visit the NSFAS Accommodation Off-take Agreement Portal. When on the page, follow the prompt by answering the questions and uploading supporting documents. Then, click ‘next‘.
- On the next page, kindly fill in the required information like Name of applicant; Type of applicant; Registration Number; Tax Number; Representative Of Applicant; Site Of ApplicationArea Of Application (Specify Town/City); Province; Street Name Of the Site; Street Number; Suburb; Area Code; Town / City; Number Of Beds To Be Developed and Estimated Cost Of Development. Then, click ‘next‘.
- Depending on the type of applicant you are, e.g Individual, you will then be required to fill in information about the institution you cater for. After filling, kindly click ‘next’ to proceed.
- Then fill in the other information and upload the necessary documents. Then click ‘Finish or Submit‘.
The application closing date is 10th November 2022.
