For admission into programmes of study at the Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission:.
RICHFIELD GRADUATE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Technology Admission Req
- BSc degree in Information Technology or Information Systems, Computer Science, Informatics, Internet Communication, or
- Equivalent NQF 7 qualification
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Postgraduate Diploma in Management Admission Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, or
- Equivalent NQF 7 qualification; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT) Admission Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate or equivalent with an endorsement for admission to a Degree, with a pass in Maths and one Science subject; or
- Students who have passed RGIT, HCIT, or HCSE or an equivalent level 5 in the field of information technology. A-level students pass in two subjects, or
- O-level students who have passed 12th class, or an equivalent A-level examination, or senior secondary school certificate, or a technical diploma after secondary school certificate with English and Maths in terms of the secondary education system; or
- Mature Age Exemption for students above the age of 23 as set out in the Higher Education Regulations; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) & Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Admission Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an endorsement to a Degree coupled with appropriate combinations of recognised subjects and levels of achievement; or
- The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) at NQF Level 4 with appropriate combinations of recognised subjects and levels of achievement; or
- Further Education and Training (FET) NQF Level 4. Mature age exemption for people above the age of 23 years as set out in the Higher Education Regulations; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Diploma Admission Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate with an endorsement for admission to a Diploma and/or
Degree; or - A National Certificate Vocational (NCV) at NQF Level 4 with appropriate subject
combination and levels of achievements; or - Mature Age Exemption for students above the age of 23 as set out in the Higher Education Regulations; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Higher Certificate Courses Admission Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate with an endorsement for admission to a Higher Certificate and/or Diploma and/or Degree; or
- A National Certificate Vocational (NVC) at NQF Level 4 within an associated field and levels of achievements; or
- Mature Age Exemption for students above the age of 23 as set out in the Higher Education Regulations; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
