• Step 1: Please apply online via the Skills Academy Contact form if you are enrolling for Undergraduate Program.     . 
• Step 2: You will then be taken to the page where you will be required to fill in all the necessary information like your Personal Details, Nationality, Address Information, disability information, Study Choices, Residential Address, Postal Address, Contact Details.   
• Step 3: When you are done, kindly click on the ‘Submit‘ button to get your application submitted.     

2. Acknowledgement of Application     

• You will receive an email confirming online submission of your application immediately.    
• Within three working days, you should receive formal acknowledgment of your application along with your student number and log-in details.    
• Note this acknowledgement does not mean you’ve been accepted or admitted to Skills Academy.   

3. Upload Supporting Documents     

In order to consider your application, please upload all necessary supporting documents listed below on this article. If the application is incomplete, it may be declined by the college.   

4. Acceptance of Offer     

When we update your application, you will receive an email communication. Please monitor your email account closely for updates. You can also check your status online with the log-in credentials that we will send you after you apply. We are not permitted to disclose your application status telephonically.

LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR SKILLS ACADEMY ONLINE APPLICATION

• National Senior Certificate if you have already matriculated  
• Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp if you are still in Grade 12  
• Your academic record, only if you are a current student at another institution of higher learning

Registration Requirements at Skills Academy

Skills Academy offers different types of courses. These different types of courses have different registration requirements. From professional short courses to accredited courses that requirements range from a grade 10 report to matric.

There are a few registration requirements that are the same for all Skills Academy courses. The main requirement being you must be 16 years or older. Let’s look at what the requirements are for no matric certificate and matric certificate courses.

1. No Matric Certificate

Courses that don’t require a matric certificate for registration can be divided into 2 categories. Short Courses (Provider Courses) and ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers). To register for any of the courses within those categories you need to be able to read and write English. No prior experience is required unless otherwise stated.

2. Matric Certificate

All the accredited courses require that you have a matric certificate. These are accredited by the DHET (Department of Higher Education and Training). The courses range from Educare to Marketing and at the end of this course, you receive a National certificate from the DHET.
