We are happy to present to you the University of Cape Town, UCT Graduation List 2020 and how to check your graduation status. The Vice Chancellor on behalf of the University Council, Management Board and Senate has released the names of successful graduands.
Therefore all successful graduands can check their names below or on the university website.
UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN (UCT) GRADUATION LIST FOR 2020
The University of Cape Town (UCT) virtual graduation celebration, for the December 2020 cohort of graduands, is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 December 2020. It will commence at 18:00 and will be streamed online via the UCT website and social media platforms. Graduands are advised to check below for the full list of graduands.
Graduation-specific media assets will be made available, which UCT encourage you to use on graduation day to produce your own images and share these on your own social media platforms. Please look out for related details to be shared via the UCT social media platforms closer to the time of the virtual event. The university look forward to you being part of the big wave of online celebrations by very many UCT graduates by using #UCTGrad2020 and tagging @UCT_News when sharing your pictures and graduation stories on social media.

Examination Results
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective Deans of Faculties/Schools during working hours.
List of Graduands
The names of the graduates will appear on the university’s graduation page. All graduates who would like to, to please send UCT their pictures ahead of the virtual graduation so that it can be shared in your celebrations albeit virtually.
Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
Ensure that your names are correctly spelt out and are in the right order and spelling as they will appear on the Certificate and Official Transcripts (as per your National ID or Passport). Kindly liaise with your Department for confirmation.
Clearance & Fees
All graduands should be cleared by the UCT’s Accounts Office before registering for graduation. Any outstanding fees must be paid before the deadline. Only graduands cleared by the Accounts office will be allowed to register for graduation.
Graduation Certificate/Transcripts
You may request a hardcopy degree certificate and transcript to be delivered to you via courier. Certificates will only be dispatched after the virtual graduation ceremony has taken place on Tuesday, 15 December 2020.
Academic Attire
If the graduation is confirmed to be done virtually, then the academic dress/regalia will not be required for the virtual graduation thus no charges to incur and also note that in order to reduce contact and exposure during this current pandemic period, the university shall not be issuing any gowns to the students.
