VUT Application & Registration Fees: 2025/2026

This is information containing the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Application & Registration Fees: 2025/2026. Authority of the institution has released the amount payable as application and registration fees for undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, professional & diploma programs for the new academic session.

VUT Application fees

The relevant application fee should accompany all applications:

• Non refundable fee of R 100 (South African applicants)
• Non refundable fee of R 110 (International applicants)
• Non refundable fee of R 140 (Late Application Fee)

NB: In the case of applications submitted by mail, payments will be accepted by bank deposit only. Use your ID number as the reference. Postal orders or bank guaranteed cheques must be made out to the Vaal University of Technology. No cash should accompany your application form.

The fee changes annually so please consult the admissions office +27 (0)16 950 9356 to determine the correct amount.

VUT Registration Fees

First-year students:

• Registration is open for all admitted first-year students. All self-funded and bursary students may start registering. Please note that a minimum fee of R2200 is payable prior to registration for all non-NSFAS funded students.
• All NSFAS-funded students will await funding decisions to be made prior to commencement of their registration.
• All finance related queries should be directed to the Finance Department.
• Payment can be made at any ABSA branch or any ABSA ATM at least 24hours before starting the registration process.
• Confirmed NSFAS funded students and other sponsored students may not be required to pay the registration fee.
