CBU Postgraduate Application Form – 2024/2025

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the following Graduate Programmes to be offered during the 2022/2023 Academic Year on either Full Time, Evening or by Distance Learning Mode commencing in June 2022.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.

COPPERBELT UNIVERSITY (CBU)  POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION PROCEDURE & ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

Entry Requirements: 

Admission requirements for all Doctor of Philosophy Programmes:

Applicants should:

1. Possess a relevant Masters degree from a recognised University
2. Submit 20-30 pages of a Research Proposal on the appropriate subject of interest

 Admission requirements for all Master programmes:      

Applicants should:

1. Possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognised institution.
2. In addition to the admission requirements for the MBA (Finance), applicants who hold professional accounting qualifications in ACCA and CIMA are eligible, provided they hold 5 ‘O’ level Credits (Grade 12 or Form V with Mathematics and English inclusive).

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMMES:

1. Full Time Basis

Each programme is designed to run for eighteen months of which the first 12 months are devoted to course work while the last 6 months to dissertation.

• Evening  Basis

Each programme is designed to run for two (2) years with the first eighteen months devoted to course work while the last 6 months to dissertation.

• Distance

The Programmes are targeted at those individuals who cannot engage in Full time, Part-time/ Evening programmes due to various factors. However, a minimum of three (3) years is designated for each of the programmes.

Application Procedure

 Candidates are requested to apply on-line by logging on to the Copperbelt University website at www.cbu.ac.zm and clicking the Apply Now link. Applicants are further advised to complete and submit the form online and thereafter print the ZANACO student Bill Muster Form. This is what will be used to make a payment of K 200.00 at any Zambia National Commercial Bank Branch (ZANACO)

Please note that the application window for all the Doctor of Philosophy programmes (PHD)  is open throughout the year.
