The Evangelical University, EU Zambia Admission Requirements: 2024/2025 for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the Evangelical University, EU Zambia for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
EVANGELICAL UNIVERSITY, EU ZAMBIA UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Minimum Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes
- 5 “O” Levels, one of which must be English at least at Merit (3 or 4), with an additional four subjects at Credit (5 or 6) or better. The total number of points for the five subjects should not exceed 24.
Minimum Entry Requirements for Diploma Programmes
- 5 “O” Levels, one of which must be English at least at Credit (5 or 6), with an additional four subjects at Credit (7 or 8) or better. The total number of points for the five subjects should not exceed 32.
Minimum Entry Requirements for Certificate Programmes
- The two year Credit programmes aim to equip women for ministry and help them realise their own gifts as they prepare to be servant leaders in their homes and ministries.
INSTITUTE OF WOMEN IN MINISTRY
Advanced Certificate:
- Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of five “O” levels, one of which must be English at least at Credit (5 or 6) and an additional four subjects at Pass.
Certificate:
- Grades 12 or 9 Certificate with a minimum of five “O” levels at Pass, one of which must be English.
Spiritual Qualifications:
- Applicants must demonstrate Christian maturity and a sense of God’s direction in their lives. Just as there are academic qualifications that must be met prior to training for ministry. Through the various references and the interview, the Admissions Committee looks to see if the applicant’s life is moving in the direction of those qualities articulated in the EU Objectives.
Mature Entry:
- The University recognises that there are some people who lack the academic entry requirements, but who have proven ability and experience in Christian ministry, and would benefit from one of EU’s programmes.
EVANGELICAL UNIVERSITY, EU ZAMBIA POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
- For admission to the Master’s Degree of a candidate shall either hold an honours degree of the or a qualification from an approved institution of higher learning, deemed to be equivalent to an honours degree of the Evangelical University.
- Candidates who hold unclassified degrees should have a credit or, a distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s Degree.
Candidates with a Pass Degree will also be considered for admission if: –
- Their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a B grade average or above; and
- They have satisfied the relevant Faculty/Institute that they have exhibited academic potential through extensive fieldwork, subsequent research experience and/or additional training.
- Candidates for Master’s Degree by thesis should in addition to the above have extensive or rich experience in research in the area of study.
Entry requirements for a PhD degree Programme
- A candidate for admission to the PhD degree programme of the shall hold a relevant Master’s Degree of the or relevant Master’s Degree of equivalent standing from another approved University.
- Candidates with only the first degree but with First Class or Upper Second Honours or holders of a distinction or a credit in the relevant subject in the case of unclassified degree may also be considered for Ph.D. registration after initially registering for the Master’s Degree and doing at least one full year’s postgraduate training, if they have been authorized by Senate on recommendation of the relevant Faculty/Institute Board to upgrade their registration to PhD candidacy.
