The University of Barotseland, UBL Admission Requirements: 2024/2025 for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programmes of study at the University of Barotseland, UBL for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
UNIVERSITY OF BAROTSELAND, UBL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for all degree programmes except Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education and Bachelor of Nursing are:
- Passes at credit level in at least five (05) subjects (including English) in the Zambian School Certificate or Cambridge Overseas School Certificate; or Passes at credit level in at least five subjects (including English) in the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examinations; or Relevant Diploma obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning.
For Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education
- Applicants should hold at least three (03) passes at credit level (including English) in the Zambian School Certificate or Cambridge Overseas School Certificate plus a teaching certificate.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- This programme is only offered through distance learning and entry qualification is a Diploma in Registered Nursing.
For Diploma Programmes
- Applicants should hold Four (4) credits or better which must include English language
For Certificate Programmes
- Applicants should hold Three (3) credits or better which must include English language.
- The Certificate and Diploma in Library and Information Studies and Certificate in Archives and Records Management are only offered through distance learning.
UNIVERSITY OF BAROTSELAND, UBL POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
- For admission to the Master’s Degree of a candidate shall either hold an honours degree of the or a qualification from an approved institution of higher learning, deemed to be equivalent to an honours degree of the UBL University.
- Candidates who hold unclassified degrees should have a credit or, a distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s Degree.
