KNUST Nursing Requirements – 2023/2024 Admission

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST 2022/2023 Nursing Entry Requirements for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year.

Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the Nursing undergraduate and Postgraduate courses coupled with their entry requirements.

For admission into teaching programmes of study at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST) TEACHING ENTRY REQUIREMENT

BSc. GENERAL NURSING (REGULAR)

• WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS: Credits passes in THREE (3) Elective Subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
• A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS: FIVE (5) credits at O’ Level, including Mathematics, English Language and a Science subject, plus THREE (3) A’ Level passes in the Sciences (Chemistry and Biology, Physics or Mathematics).

BSc. GENRAL NURSING (MATURE APPLICANTS FOR TOP-UP)

Applicants must satisfy the University’s General Requirements for Admission into Degree Programmes. In addition they must:

• Be Registered General Nurses with a Diploma in Nursing
• Be at least 25 years of age at the time of submitting the application.
• Have a minimum of Two years working experience in a clinical area.

Applicants in this category must pass an Interview.

BSc. NURSING (EMERGENCY OPTION)

Applicants must satisfy the University’s General Requirements for the Admission to Degree Programmes. In addition, they must:

• Be matured registered general Nurses with a Diploma in Nursing
• Be 25 years of age at the time of submitting the application.
• Have a minimum of TWO (2) years working Experience in a clinical area.

Applicants in this category must pass an interview
