The Institute of Distance and Continuing Education in Takoradi Technical University, TTU was able to secure Asankragwa Secondary School, Asankragwa Technical Institute, Tarkwa Secondary School, Kikam Technical Institute to run distance programmes from there.  The agreed programmes to be run from these Centres were:

• HND (Secretaryship and Management Studies);
• HND (Mechanical Engineering);
• HND (Civil Engineering);
• HND (Electrical/Electronic Engineering);
• Diploma: DBS; and
• Diploma in all the engineering programmes;
