The National Service Authority (NSA) — formerly the National Service Scheme (NSS) — has enabled its official portal for prospective service personnel to check their 2026 NSA Posting and manage their service year activities. It also contains the institution’s contact address and the official website. Kindly check below for more details.

The National Service Authority (NSA) wishes to inform the general public, especially applicants for National Service 2026, that they can now check their National Service Posting online and manage their service activities through the new official NSA portals.

Important Update (2026): The National Service Scheme (NSS) has been replaced by the National Service Authority (NSA). The old NSS portal at portal.nss.gov.gh has been permanently closed and is no longer active. The old domain nss.gov.gh is no longer the gateway for any NSP-related activities. All personnel must use the new official NSA portals under the gnsa.gov.gh domain. Any guidance referencing the old NSS portal, an “NSS ID” login, or nssghonline.com / posting.nssghana.org is outdated and should not be followed.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR NSA POSTING STATUS

To check your National Service Posting Status for 2026, follow the steps below:

• Go to the NSA Personnel Dashboard at https://posting.gnsa.gov.gh.
• Log in using your registered email address as your username and your PIN code as your password. These credentials were set up during your online registration. Do not use an old NSS ID — the new system requires an email address and PIN.
• If you have forgotten your PIN, visit https://gnsa.gov.gh and use the PIN retrieval function. You will need your Student ID and Date of Birth to verify your identity.
• Once logged in, your posting location and other details will be displayed on your personal dashboard.
• After receiving your posting, complete the mandatory activation step within the portal to confirm acceptance of your posting and transition your status to “active.”
• Proceed with formal registration after posting by completing the detailed registration form within the dashboard, including personal, academic, and posting institution details.
• Complete the identity validation process as directed — this may require presenting your Ghana Card at your host institution or a regional NSA office.
• To manage appointments with local coordinators, use: https://posting.gnsa.gov.gh/dashboard/appointments

For Monthly Allowance (Payroll): Your NSS allowance is managed exclusively through the secure NSA Payroll Portal at https://payroll.gnsa.gov.gh. To log in, you must enter your Ghana Card number followed by a mandatory facial biometric verification. This is different from the email and PIN used for the posting dashboard. Do not attempt to access payroll through any other portal or third party.
