According to the news today on the official KUCCPS social media handle, the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Prof. George Magoha, has released the 2022/2023 Universities and Colleges Student Placement Results. Speaking at Eastleigh High School in Nairobi where he also commissioned a new CBC classroom, Prof. Magoha announced that 250,052 students submitted applications for placement to universities, TVET institutions and TTCs, and all applicants were successfully placed. 90% of the 2021 KCSE candidates who attained a mean grade of C + and above and applied were competitively placed, with 85% of them getting Degree programmes and 5% taking up courses in TVET Institutions.

Of the 144,466 Kenyan citizen candidates who qualified for degree programmes, 123,963 (85.8%) were placed to universities (67,237 male and 56,726 female). Some 16,310 candidates who qualified for degree programmes in the 2021 KCSE examination did not submit applications and may have opted to pursue other opportunities. A total of 124,258 applicants have been placed in TVET institutions (55,553 male and 68,705 female).

For the first time, KUCCPS placed applicants for admission to the 32 public diploma primary teacher training colleges. A total of 1,538 (1,216 female, 322 male) have been placed in Diploma in Primary Teacher Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education. KUCCPS also placed 293 (129 male, 164 female) to three colleges offering Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, namely: Kagumo, Kibabii and Lugari TTCs. These students will be trained to deliver the CBC curriculum.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a State Corporation that provides career guidance and selects students for admission to universities, national polytechnics, technical training institutes and other accredited higher learning institutions for Government of Kenya-sponsored programmes.

HOW TO CHECK KUCCPS PLACEMENT RESULT ONLINE

• The mode of checking the KUCCPS Placement result is online via the KUCCPS student portal.

You can get the 2022/2023 KUCCPS Result for any candidate in a few simple steps.

1. To view your KUCCPS placement result, kindly proceed to KUCCPS Portal: http://students.kuccps.net/
2. To log in, use the topmost tab labelled ‘Login’
3. Type your KCSE Index Number
4. Then Type your exam year and Finally
5. Type your password

Use Your Birth Certificate No. / KCSE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password

If you have forgotten your password you can easily reset your password by engaging the “Forgot Login Password” Here you type your KCSE Index Number and your exam year and the password token will be sent to the email address you registered with.
