Application for admission into Multimedia University of Kenya is basically done online or manually i.e by post notwithstanding on your preference. Kindly follow the instructions clearly stated below to apply.

Online Application and Registration Guidelines

Self Sponsored Students

To join the university as a self sponsored student, follow the steps below:

Decide the programme that you want to undertake and ensure you meet the programme qualifications stated in “Our Programmes” section.
Click on “Apply” at the top of this web page or at the bottom of this section”
Fill in the required information in each step of the application
Finish the application process and submit your application.
Once your application is submitted successfully, you will receive an email from us indicating your application ID.
Pay the indicated application fee depending on the programme (find payment details below)
To keep track of your application status, login with the Application ID and Password sent to your email.

Government Sponsored Students

To join the university as a Government (KUCCPS) sponsored student, follow the steps below:

First ensure you have received an invitation to our university from KUCCPS.
Click on login at the top of this page or at the bottom of this section.
Enter the required login details
The first time you login, you are required to accept or reject the programme you have been offered. Accepting the offer gives you the access to other services while rejecting denies you access to any other services.

Requirements & Payment Details

a) Documents Required for Application & Registration To apply or register for a programme, you are required to attach the following documents:

Passport photo – a clear passport sized photo is required
Scanned National ID – Applys to only Kenyan applicants who are above 18 years of age.
Scanned Passport – applys to Non-Kenyan applicants
Academic certificates – at least 2 academic certificates are required. Example KCPE & KCSE certificates.

b) Payment Details Note: This only applys to self sponsored students.

Manual Application Procedure

Applications should be made on prescribed forms obtainable from the MMU website or the office of Corporate Affairs at MMU Main Campus OR the Director’s Office at MMU Nairobi CBD Campus located at Uniafric House, Fourth Floor, Loita Street, upon payment of a non-refundable application fee shown: CERTIFICATE – Kshs.500.00; DIPLOMA –Kshs.500.00; BACHELORS – Kshs.1000.00; MASTERS Kshs.1500.00
No application is valid unless the appropriate application fee has been paid. Application forms can be accessed through an online application or downloaded below.

Payments can either be in cash or through the MMU Bank Accounts (See bank details below). Original payment receipt should be given by the Cashier at MMU Finance upon payment of the application fee or upon presenting the bank pay-in-slip.

Multimedia University of Kenya, MMU offers courses at the undergraduate levels. Prospective students should apply by filling the application forms before the deadline date as the Admissions office communicates it. Late applications are only accepted if the program space allows. Once you submit your form, you must pay the application fee for your form to be processed. Otherwise, it will not be processed.

For UNDERGRADUATE COURSES,

Original Letter of Offer
Copy of the letter of Offer
Original National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate OR any other document(s) that can be used to identify the new Student.
Copy of National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate OR any other document(s) that can be used to identify the new Student.
Original KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate, Leaving
Certificate and any other Academic transcripts (where applicable).
Copy of KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate, Leaving Certificate and any other Academic transcripts (where applicable).
Duly filled students’ detail forms (MMU/F/AD/001-011).
Colored Passport Photos
Deposit slips or Bankers cheque for total fee as quoted on the letter of offer.
Medical Report.

For POSTGRADUATE COURSES,

3 duly completed forms,
3 passport size photographs,
3 copies of the appropriate Undergraduate degree certificate and transcripts,
3 copies of KCSE certificates, and
3 copies of receipts

All these should be returned to the Director, Board of Postgraduate Studies, MMU at Mbagathi OR, the Director CBD Campus Uniafric House.
