Bishop Stuart University (BSU) extends a warm invitation to S.6 leavers who may not have met the traditional entry requirements for higher education. The university offers a chance to bridge this gap with Higher Education Certificate (HEC) programmes, also known as bridging courses, to facilitate progression to degree or diploma programmes.
Eligibility and Courses:
The university’s HEC programmes are specifically designed for students who have completed S.6 but haven’t met the necessary requirements to directly enter into their desired degree or diploma programmes.

- Higher Education Certificate for Arts/Social Sciences
- HEC in Biology and Agriculture
- HEC in Biology and Chemistry
- HEC in Physics and Mathematics
- HEC in Mathematics and Chemistry
- HEC in Geography and Economics
BSU HEC Fees Structure:
Each course is structured as a one-year programme. The functional fees and tuition for each course are both set at UGX. 415,000 and UGX. 410,300 respectively.
