This article contains information on the Kyambogo University (KYU) Application form and Requirements for admission into the following programmes for the 2022/2023 academic year.
Applications to study for the listed postgraduate programmes above in 2022/2023 are now open for both internal and external applications. INTERNAL APPLICANTS are students currently registered at KYU for the 2022/2023 academic year. EXTERNAL APPLICANTS refer to any graduate who meet requirements for the qualification.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
Master’s Degrees
- For Master’s full-time students, the minimum period of study is one year and the maximum period is four years. For Master’s part-time students, the minimum period is two years and the maximum is five years.
- For a Master of Medicine, only full-time study is permissible. For more details on period of registration for the Master’s programme, see the Postgraduate Guide (provide link).
Doctoral Degrees
- For Doctoral full-time students, the minimum period of registration is two years and the maximum period is five years.
- For Doctoral part-time students, the minimum period of registration is three years and the maximum period is seven years.

KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY, KYU POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
Applicants should fill the on-line application form from the website www.kyu.ac.ug/applications.
On submitting the form, printout a pay slip and pay a non-refundable application fee of Uganda shillings 50,000/= (Ugandan, Kenyans, Tanzanians, Rwandese, Burundians, Congolese (DRC) and South Sudanese applicants) and Uganda Shillings 75,000/= (International applicants) excluding bank charges at any bank integrated with our system.
Print 2 copies of the FILLED system generated biodata form and attach 2 certified copies of your academic documents, 2 copies of al 1 other relevant academic documents, 2 passport photos and three referees’ letters of recommendation. NOTE:
Academic documents/certificates in languages other than English should be translated by a recognized Institution before submission, by the applicant, and a certificate attached. Documents obtained outside Uganda should be certified by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) before submission. Applicants who may find difficulties in applying online should seek help from the Kyambogo University
SUBMISSION DATES FOR SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND ACADEMIC RECORDS
The KYU University reserves the right to cancel any application if all the necessary certified paper copies or original transcripts are
not submitted on time.
