VACANT POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS IN NHCC
National Housing And Construction Company (NHCC) is looking for persons with the requisite competences, proven integrity, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure to seize the following opportunities;
1. Public Relations Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement both strategic and operational plans for the Public Relations Section.
- Participate in the business planning, budgeting and review process.
- Prepare and implement public relations plans and programmes which meet and promote the corporate image and brand.
- Seek to impact and influence key stakeholders, such as Government, clients and customers, the Housing Industry, as well as the public in general, so that they are positively disposed towards the Compan
- Build and manage a positive image of NHCCL both locally & internationally
- Establishing and maintaining positive media relations through press conferences, articles, press releases, radio and TV progra
- Develop and maintain good relations with NHCCL’s clientele and the general public
- Carry out protocol function
- Oversee NHCCL’s participation at National events, gathering, processing & dissemination of Company Information.
- Research, through reading widely, to access information that is relevant to the Company and disseminate it to staff, media and other stakeholders.
- Oversee and supervise the production of Corporate Publications and documentari
- Oversee the gathering, processing and dissemination of information about the Company and the Housing Industry, as deemed appropriate.
- Organize Corporate Conferences and Meetings.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a closely related filed from a recognized University/Institution
- Additional specialized in Public Relations, from a recognized institution, is a must.
- Six (6) years’ experience at least 3 of which must be as a Public Relations Manager, or in a similar position,
2. Internal Auditor-Technical
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and formulate audit programs based on systemically identified and assessed risks, in line with the approved Internal Audit Plan, Internal Audit Charter and International Professional Practice standards of Internal Auditing.
- Conduct systems audits of all NHCCL projects and operations in line with the approved Internal Audit Plan, Internal Audit Charter and International Professional Practice standards of Internal Auditing and other best practices.
- Carry out compliance tests to ensure that operational and financial processes are executed in line with NHCCL policies and regulations as well as applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare audit reports in line with NHCCL Internal Audit policies and procedures
- Follow up all recommendations on audit findings as per NHCCL’s guidelines
- Participate and carry out control risk self –assessment (CRSA) for all Company projects and as assigned from time to time as per NHCCL risk Management strategy and Departmental procedures
- Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of the processes put in place by management to manage the risk of fraud as per the NHCCL Fraud policy.
- Provide assurance on the reliability of information systems (input, process and output) and ensure that all computerized systems comply with the statutory regulations and generally accepted accounting principles, adequate financial controls, established Company plans and procedures, system security policies and effective systems development guidelines
- Through the Departmental resources, demonstrate understanding of the Company business and make value adding recommendations that contribute to the overall realization of the Company mandate and profitability.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting or Finance) from a recognized Universi
- Possession of Accountancy or Internal Auditing professional qualification, such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA, at least Level II, is a MUST.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management is desirable
- Five years Relevant working experience of, 2 of which should be in the Construction Industry
- Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting or Finance) from a recognized Universi
- Possession of Accountancy or Internal Auditing professional qualification, such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA, at least Level II, is a MUST.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management is desirable. Knowledge and skills in Public Private Partnerships(PPPs) will be an added advantage
- Five years Relevant working experience of auditing, 2 of which should be in the Construction and real estate Industry
