MAK Mature Age Entry Admission Exam 2026/2027

This article provides information on the Makerere University (MAK) Mature Age Entry Admission Exam for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University, announces that the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations for the 2026/2027 Academic Year will be held on (Date to be decided).

MAKERERE UNIVERSITY MATURE AGE ENTRY ADMISSION EXAMINATIONS ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Mature Age Entry Examinations, the candidate must be at least 25 years old before 1st August 2026.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications are submitted online via the Makerere University e-payments portal. The university does not authorise agents or coaching services for this examination.

Procedure for applying and paying for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations:

• Visit https://see.mak.ac.ug to access the application portal
• Register and obtain a Payment Registration Number (PRN)
• Visit https://pay.mak.ac.ug/ to make payment, or dial *165# from your MTN mobile number and select:
  • (option 4) Payments
  • (option 5) Fees & Taxes
  • (option 1) URA
• Select PRN Payment and enter the PRN generated from the portal
• Enter your PIN to effect payment
• The Application Form can also be accessed and downloaded from the official Makerere University website

APPLICATION FEE

• UGX 210,000 (East African applicants) – includes 6 past papers, excluding bank charges
• USD 75 (International applicants)

APPLICATION DEADLINE

The closing date for submitting completed application forms is TBD.

EXAMINATION DATE

The Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations for the 2026/2027 Academic Year will be held on a date TBD

PASSING CRITERIA

Candidates must score at least 50% in the aptitude test to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

Shortlisted candidates for the examinations will be posted on the University website.
