For admission into programmes of study at the Uganda Technical College, UTC Bushenyi, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission:.
UGANDA TECHNICAL COLLEGE UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
The following are the requirements for admission to diploma & certificate programmes:
The college offers courses both under government-supported and private sponsorship. Admits once in the academic year, i.e., August intake on a semester basis. Application forms will be on sale in February–August every year.
Courses Offered at the College and Admission Requirements;
National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NDCE)
- Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
- Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Advanced Craft Certificate in Block Laying and Concreting Practice, Plumbing and Carpentry, and Joinery.
National Diploma in Water Engineering (NDWE)
National Diploma in Architecture (NDA)
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (NDME)
- Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
- Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Mechanical Engineering Craft Practice Part II, Motor Vehicle Technicians Course Part II, & Agricultural Mechanics Part II.
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NDEE)
- Either: One Principal Pass in either Physics or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
- Or (i) A degree in physical sciences
(ii) Advanced Craft Certificate in Electrical Installation and Radio & Television Electronic Technician course.
National Diploma in Ceramics Engineering (NDCE)
- Either: One Principal Pass in either Chemistry or Mathematics and two subsidiary passes in science subjects
- Or (i) Advanced Craft certificate in Pottery
National Diploma in Information and Communications Technology (NDICT)
- Principal Pass in either a science or Arts subject and two subsidiary subjects
National Higher Diplomas (HD)
- A diploma in the above-named programmes
